Plint grew up with her parents – A Welsh father and an English mother, and as such, her childhood was split between two different languages & cultures.
Her paternal grandmother taught her the Welsh language from a young age, and as a result, she has been bilingual for most of her life.

Plint attended The Cleeve School in Bishops Cleeve, Gloucester, on a scholarship for her high school years. She graduated from there in 2005, close to the top of her class.
From there, she went on to attend the University of Leicester where she graduated in 2008 with a Combined Degree in English Literature and Sociology.
Following this, she gained entry into the Cardiff University, where she graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism in 2010.

While in university, she worked at both a radio station and a bar to support herself while studying, and she said both jobs suited her bubbly personality well.

Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

From April to December of 2010, she was a freelance broadcast journalist for the BBC and often filled in on assignments for them when their normal reporters were unavailable.
She moved onto a similar role with the network ITV and worked as one of their freelance reporters until September 2011.
It was in September of 2011 that one broadcast, in particular, caught the eye of the producers within ITV. They decided to get her trained in meteorology and later promoted her to a full-time on-air journalist.

She started delivering the weather reports for the network every weeknight.
She has said that she never saw herself as a weather reporter but was grateful that ITV gave her the push into that area, as she now loves her job.
For the role, Helen had to relocate to London. She can be regularly spotted on ITV or at various charity / public speaking events.

Besides broadcasting, Helen is also an interior decorator and runs the Award-winning Interior Architecture & Design studio named Pen to Pad.
