Firoza Khan is a famous model turned Indian TV actress who is best known for her role of ‘Kinjal’ in a very popular TV serial ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ which was aired on Star Plus.
Personal Life :
Firoza was born on 14th November 1985 & is originally from Bangalore. Since her early days, Firoza was attracted to acting and was always less interested in studies.
For her education, she somehow completed her 10th standard and started doing print advertisements when she was in the 11th standard.
Family and Relationships :
In the year 2015, Firoza was in a relationship with a Delhi- based guy named Shakir Chaudhary. They both had been friends for more than two years by then. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t last more than six months and they parted ways.
She then started dating Zeeshan Ali, a doctor by profession, in November 2015. But she called off the relationship after a short period of three months as things were not working out between them.
In November 2018, Firoza announced her engagement to Sohel Khandwani, a real estate businessman who is based in Dubai. On February 14, 2019, they completed 2 years of their relationship.
Early Career and Struggle :
When Firoza was just in the 11th standard, she auditioned for Vishesh Films’ movie ‘Murder.’ But Mukesh Bhatt was not very convinced because she was too young for doing such a bold role.
She started her career as a model and then did many commercial ads.
Unable to find a good job in the acting industry, Firoza started working in a call center to earn her living. For about six long years, she struggled to enter the industry. Initially, she used to get offers from ‘Balaji Telefilms’ for some cameo roles in their various TV shows, but when she got there, Firoza found herself lost in the crowd. She got fed up with it and opted herself out of doing such small roles.
The Big Break :
After years of struggle and failures, fortunately, she was approached by ‘Rashmi Sharma Productions’ for Kinjal’s role in their new show ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya.’ She played the character of a rich spoilt brat. The show premiered on 3rd May 2010 and successfully ran many years later.
With her acting skills, Firoza managed to keep the spice in the show alive. The show was an instant hit and was remade in different languages- ‘Pudhcha Paul’ (Marathi), ‘Deivam Thandha Veedu’ (Tamil), ‘Chandanamazha’ (Malayalam), ‘Amritavarshini’ (Kannada) and ‘Bodhuboron’ (Bengali).
It is dubbed into Telugu as ‘Kodala Kodala Koduku Pellamaa.’ Internationally, it airs in Sri Lanka dubbed into Sinhala as ‘Mage Sanda Obai on Swarnavahini’
Other Work :
Besides her career in acting and modelling, Firoza has also been an active member of ‘Box Cricket League’ (2014) created by ‘Balaji Telefilms.’ It is India’s first Sport-Reality Entertainment show where television actors are seen competing with each other in a 10-over indoor cricket game format.
Firoza Khan was with the team ‘Ghaint Punjabi’ earlier and her team won the tournament as well. Later, she changed her team and joined ‘Ahmedabad Express’.
