Geetanjali Mishra is a famous Indian television actress who has established her identity in the industry with her acting skills.
Twist of Fate :
- Actually, Geetanjali has a really interesting story about her entry into this profession. She had never auditioned for any show and never even wanted to.
- She used to live near the house of an Indian television show director, Seema Sharma.
- Due to some circumstances Seema’s actress quit her show at the very last moment. She had no replacement, so she called Geetanjali and asked her to play the role in her soap.
- This is how she began her career as a TV actress.
TV CAREER :
- Mishra’s first TV serial was ‘Piya Ka Ghar.’ In this serial, she played a very small role because she entered the show when it was on the verge of ending. She worked for the show for about a month.
- After this show she never looked back. She got another role in the serial ‘Ek Ladki Anjaani Si’ & worked there for about a year.
- After that she worked for Doordarshan(DD) channel in the serial ‘Jaane Kahan.’ Post that, she kept on getting regular offers one after the other. It took some time for her to get used to the world of acting, and she kept on grooming her skills as she continued working.
- After that she starred in the serial ‘Sangam’ on Star Plus. She considered this show to be the first daily soap which she enjoyed working in. By this time, she had learned a lot and had improved herself as an actor.
- After that, she did many real stories based role in the ‘Crime Patrol: Dastak’ and ‘Savdhaan India @ 11’ which are the two most popular crime shows of the country. She did realistic roles in these shows which the viewers liked a lot. After he performance, she got popular by the name “Crime Patrol Girl.”
- Her other TV serials till date include ‘Maayke Se Bandhi Dor,’ ‘Ranbir Rano,’ ‘Jaye Kahan,’ ‘Sohni Mahiwal,’ ‘Matti Ki Banno,’ ‘Jai Maa Vaishno Devi,’ ‘Balika Vadhu’ etc.
- In 2013, she played the character ‘Maithili Samrat Ranawat’ in the serial ‘Rangrasiya’ on Colors TV.
Personal Life :
She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India in a normal middle-class family. She had her schooling and graduation from Mumbai only. Initially, she had no interest in acting, but destiny had decided something else for her.
Movie Career :
- She made her Bollywood debut with the movie ‘The Shaukeens’ in 2014. But she wants to continue her career in television only and doesn’t want to work in movies anymore.
- For someone who got into acting by chance, Geetanjali has come a long way. She has established her identity in Indian Television and is planning to do the same for a long time.
