- Coming from a traditional Rajput family, Navni Parihar was born on September 23, 1964, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
- Navni got married in a family which resided in Bhopal. Her husband’s name is Animesh Singh Parihar.
- She is mother of two daughters – Nibha Parihar & Sushmeena Parihar.
- Currently, she is based in Mumbai along with her family.
Acting Career Debut :
- In the 90s, Navni’s husband was posted in Mumbai. They had a family friend, named Rakesh Chawdhary who was a director of various shows on the small screen.
- In a small get together, Rakesh offered her a role in a TV serial named Mujrim Hazir which was quite popular at that time.
- She starred in this show alongside famous actors such as Rajiv Verma, Rita Bhaduri, Nutan & Utpal Dutt.
- Since then she has never looked back & has received a huge amount of appreciation for her acting talent & variety of roles.
TV & Film Career :
- Navni has worked both on TV shows and Bollywood movies. In 2017, she worked in a show named Bani – Ishq Da Kalma erstwhile known as Gurbani.
- Few of her famous TV shows are Bardi Devrani, Daastan, Daayre, Mansha, Kalakaar etc.
- She acted in various hit movies such as – Aranyaka (1994), Hulchul (1995), Ghatak (1996), Corporate (2006), Lucky no time for love (2005), Corporate (2006), Haasil (2009), Staying Alive (2012).
- In 2013, she acted in a movie named Rabba Main Kya Karoon which co-starred Arshad Warsi. Her character in the movie, Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel, too received huge appreciation.

- Navni is very fond of her home state, Madhya Pradesh (MP), as she was born, raised, and married there. As per her, MP is culturally beautiful.
- She adores Bhopal, as the city provides an ethnic arts center, which is original & inimitable. Also, many films & theatre festivals are organized in the city which provides opportunities to fresh talents in the country.

- Though not very active on social media, Navni still has a decent following on Instagram.
- She is a foodie & loves to try all kinds of cuisines. She also tries cooking new recipes at home with her daughters.
- Navni also loves to travel & whenever has a break from acting, she explores new tourist places along with her family.
- She has worked in the industry for more than 25 years.
- One of her most important and prominent work associations was with director, Puneet Sharma. She played the character of Indira Gandhi in Puneet’s two documentary series – Pradhan Mantri and 7 RCR.
