Story / Wiki The serial has its base on a novel written by Dilip Prabhawalkar called as Anudini. It depicts the life of the middle-class Tipre family, which has an elderly grandfather Abba, his son, daughter-in-law and two young grandkids. Each episode featured a separate issue and how the Tipre family reacts to it. Abba is a lovable, old man who is respected by all. Shekhar, his son works hard for the family and his wife Shamla is a great housemaker. Shirya and Shalaka, the grandkids also are obedient and always take the help of Abba in resolving their small day-to-day issues. Fresh content in every episode, light humor, along with some great acting by the lead actors made this a cult series in Marathi television.

The series also won the award Maharashtra Times Sanmaan Award (मटा सन्मान 2002)
