Monica Sharma was born on September 15, 1992, in New Delhi. For her education, she has studied in Janakpuri’s Happy Model School. She belongs to the army family.
She came to limelight after winning the coveted title of Miss Grand India 2014 in Indian Princess Beauty contest.
Following this feat, she was selected to represent in Miss Grand International which took place in Bangkok. Although she couldn’t win, she still secured a position in Top 20 in the Best National Costume competition of the same contest. She has often expressed her admiration for the actress and beauty queen Sushmita Sen.

She is also into a social worker and has been associated with EkLakshya Charitable Trust.

Like many beauty queens, it was only natural that she would step into the world of glamour. She made her debut in 2015 as Chandralekha Laxminarayn Thakur or Chandi in a popular serial Dilli Wali Thakur Girls on &TV.
In 2016, she appeared on top TV serial Naagin (season 2) playing the role of Gautami, (sister of Mouni Roy) on Colors TV.
As a model and performer, she has also appeared in many music videos such as Time Table 2 by Kulwinder Billa, Akhiyaan Bechain by Nachhatar Gill, Haal by Revel and Hauli Hauli by BIG Dhillon. One of her famous Hindi songs included her performance with ‘India’s Raw Star’ fame Sagar Bhatia.
