Kashyap was born and raised in Mumbai, Kashyap grew up in Sion area and attended the famous King George English School at Dadar. After his family shifted to New Bombay, Kashyap went to the IES School there. Since school times, it was his mother who encouraged the young Kashyap into cultural activities.

His first big break on Television came with Mahesh Kothare’s serial Mann Udhan Varyache on Star Pravah.
