Professional Life :

Swarangi started her career as a child actress and did many Marathi & Hindi serials and films. However, her most memorable role was back in early 2000 – As the 10-year-old Chingi in the Zee Marathi hit show Abhalmaya.

As an adult, she was a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, in which she played the role of Jhumri.

Besides acting, Swarangi is also known to be a gifted singer and musician. In fact, she has given various musical performances for shows like “Naadbramha” around the world.

Swarangi’s education and childhood happened in Thane, where she studied at the Saraswati High School (SES). Her height is 5 ft 2 inches.

Swarangi’s family includes her parents, who both come from musical backgrounds. Her father Pandit Mukund Marathe, is a classical singer, while her grandfather, Lt. Pandit Ram Marathe, was a renowned musician.

For many years, Swarangi also used to go to an ashram in Yeoor (Thane) to teach singing to children.
