I always watch Highway Thru Hell and I am appalled at the big rigs running through the wreck scenes at 80 to 100 mph. From a law enforcement
view, we have laws and enforce them here in the states. We really watching the way you guys work and really like the safety issues you address. Keep up the good work and be safe out there.
It’s kilometers per hour in Canada, so not quite as fast as miles per hour that we are used to in the United States. 100 kph equals 62 mph.
My biggest complaint that I have is the drivers who drive full speed through the recovery zones. The police are there, but there are no tickets issued. Here in Saskatchewan, it would cost the drivers a small fortune to do something as stupid as that. Safety has to be a top priority for drivers!

I’ve watched you the last few years on the TV show, Highway Thru Hell, and I’m continually impressed with how humble you are. You get to the job, size it up and get it done. All the while being aware, safe, and very knowledgeable. There is no whining, blatant bragging, or complaining. You remain consistently humble and are always there for your community. Well done Al and the rest of the Quiring crew. Stay safe and all the best to you and yours.
I agree Julie. But I think Al and Gord are both the epitome of ‘the hard working, good looking, manly man’. The women in their lives are very lucky. I love the ‘no nonsense and get the job done’ work ethic these two embody. I got hooked on the show years ago and you never know what’s going to happen next. I think it’s awesome what they do for a living. I think the hard lesson for all to learn is when you see the flashing lights…slow down, take heed. Seeing these men risk their lives to clear ‘our’ roads, for us, is hard to watch. It’s a brilliant show and I’ve never missed an episode. I even enjoy watching the reruns. Seeing the young ones grow up and all of the characters, and they all have their own distinct ‘character’, come and go is real to me and I will enjoy watching it as long as they will let me.

We have the show on the American The Weather Channel, and unfortunately, our cable provider might not carry The Weather Channel anymore and we will have to figure out what to do to be able to watch the show. Al Quiring is my favorite on the show. I got to know him thru just a phone call to the office. He’s the best at what he does. When the chip are down Al and his team are to pick them up. Nobody does it better.

I really enjoy watching you guys do your job! You guys are the best,2 trucks and 2 men, and have never seen anything stop you guys! I find myself fast-forwarding past Jamie’s whining! He is becoming annoying. Keep up the good work you two !!!
The show has made me hyper-aware of slowing down around stationary service vehicles…whether on a city street or highway. And around road construction, electrical workers on poles, etc.
It is horrifying to see how traffic barrels past the recovery trucks (Highway From Hell) and crews. Even truckers. Even when weather conditions are horrific. What is the matter with them? Everybody should watch a few episodes of this show. The recovery workers on wrecks are amazing. Lots of fun to see how they get it done in impossible cases.

Really enjoy watching you guys work, especially on the most technically challenging jobs. The one where the logging truck and B trailer went flying off the logging road approx. a thousand feet down. Another is when you had your twin D-9’s & your custom cable/chain link up Gadget you made to pull that excavator/hoe out of the suction cup swamp, brutal.
I have a lot of respect for Jamie Davis, the super nice guy. What I don’t get is him showing up to a job that needs heavy-duty, modern equipment with proper safety lighting, you know the kind you can see strobing from a good distance. Jamie shows up with the General and its orange vintage rotating beacons. The job requires two modern heavy-duty machines. Jamie shows up with an underpowered antique, it like the antique road showman!
One time the winch cable barrel, gear-driven, gear exploded. No disrespect to Jamie but if I had a big asd job that needed a HEAVY DUTY wrecker I’d be calling you & Gordo. You’ve got the right gear and in my opinion the most skill. That Vulcan monster and the brand new rig Gord drives will get the toughest jobs done.

I am an old man (82) and a former small tow truck diver some 50 years ago. I enjoy watching “Highway thru hell”. The show puts reality TV shows to shame! This show is what I call reality, with no scripted scenes at all. It’s real-life as it is happening. You can’t fake it at all. I have much respect for what you and your crew do on a daily basis. The show is on the top list of TV for my watching.
I love love love Highway through Hell. I admire the work that you do and the chances you take. I had never realized just how dangerous your jobs are, especially working on HWs with rigs not slowing down. I’m from Ontario but my husband and really want to go to the east coast. Such beautiful scenery. Be safe.

I really enjoy your show and the beautiful country you work in. Sure like when you got the D9 and D8 out for the tough ones. You have some good rigging for heavy pulling. I have been around Cat dozers all my life, at 52 I’m still running my father’s business of land clearing and excavating. I really like how you and your guys work, not all this yelling and drama like other shows, just pure expertise and the right equipment getting it done.
