BNN Anchor Kanwar lives by the motto, “Don’t let your failures define you, let them drive you.” This reflects her resilience and determination that has propelled her from a coffee-fetching intern to a respected anchor in the dynamic world of finance and technology.

Kanwar recalls her journey in journalism as “unexpected and thrilling.” She began her journey at BNN (Business News Network) in 2010, starting from entry-level positions.
She rose up the ranks and currently is the host of BNN’s flagship morning show The Open. Through this show, she got an opportunity to discuss varied issues in the financial sector with top CEOs, political veterans, and large fund managers across the country.
At work, Amber follows a rigorous daily routine, dedicating mornings to reading economist notes, equity research, and trader commentary. Adopting an effective communication style she aims to make financial information accessible to a broad audience, while consciously avoiding business jargon in her talks.

Since June 2016, Amber is married to her husband, Stefan Coolican. The couple has three children – two daughters, Marlo and Darcy Emma (born in December 2019), and a third baby Maksim Saber Coolican who was born in mid-2021.
