I was a Gornall before marriage. My dad lived in and around Longridge, near Preston, as did my parents and grandparents etc. I lived in Longridge also for many years. Don’t know of any relatives in Lancaster. It’s a common name around places near to Longridge, like Goosnargh, Barton, Chipping.
