- Additionally, Currie holds a certification in Broadcast Meteorology offered by Mississippi State University.
- For this certification, she had to stay up late many times, working on assignments or watching classroom lectures over the last three years. She has also attended a 3-day workshop, which is a pre-requisite for certification.

- During her stay in Colorado, Kristen took up over a year of interning for two companies in Denver.

- After two years, she joined KRQE News 13, New Mexico. With KRQE, she hosted “This Morning (4:30 AM)” and “KRQE News 12 at Noon.” According to her, New Mexico is supposed to be the Land of Enchantment.

- Kristen had a New Resolution in 2020. If she could go for 27 days without alcohol, she would reward herself with a glass of wine on her birthday – Jan 28, 2020! This was especially difficult because she is a self-confessed coffee & wine lover.

- She is a follower of the Christian faith.
- Apart from hobnobbing with her ‘fair’ weather and ‘bad’ weather friends, Kristen loves to root for winning teams at any Lobo, Aggie & Isotope games.

Sorry – didn’t know how this operated. I thought maybe she was just on vacation. Missed her and her cheerful attitude/appearance. I know that she will be just as special in her new “home” as she was here. She would do anything asked of her – out in the weather – and I’ll miss that.
