Nina Louise Warhurst is a British Journalist and News Presenter. She has had a long and varied career as a journalist and currently works as a Business Presenter and Consumer Correspondent for BBC Breakfast.

  • Nina has often hits the headlines for her brilliant journalism. In 2018, she hit out at Carl Cashman, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Liverpool City Region mayoral election, as he said the region should look out for the Brussels bloc.
  • Carl was responding to comments made by Paula Walters, the chairman of UKIP Wirral, who said that the region would receive more money for investment after the UK exits the European Union. When he suggested unwisely that the UK should still try to avoid Brexit, she dynamically closed him down.
  • Speaking on Sunday Politics North West, she said: “But what practically can you do? This is happening Carl, we are leaving the EU.” To which he had absolutely no reply, leaving the interview dead in the water, but depicting a brilliant act of realistic journalism by Nina.

    1. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything. I find your comment a little offensive. If you care to look at her Wikipedia page you will see how much she is thought of by her colleagues and how many degrees she has in journalism.

  2. Clearly very photogenic, however, Nina’s skills as a presenter outshine the fact that the camera likes her.
