- She took her certification course dive on December 5, 2010, & immediately took the advanced class.
- Four years later, Tabitha applied to be the USA representative at the 2014 scuba dive beauty pageant in Malaysia.
- Despite her initial doubts about the beauty pageant side of the competition, Tabitha ended up beating her 13 international opponents & taking home the title and crown of Miss Scuba International.
- The later year, the new queen got to travel the world, paying visits to cities including Paris and Dusseldorf, to speak about marine conservation. She spoke about global warming, sea turtle poaching, and pollution.
