Asha Kale started acting at the young age of 14, mainly in Marathi nataks.
She has completed formal education in Kathak and used to conduct dance performances.
Her real name after marriage is Gauri Madhav Naik, but she continued with the same onstage name – Asha Kale. She lives in Mahim, Mumbai after her marriage.
Asha’s early education happened in Kolhapur and Pune. Tambdi Mati was her first movie and Seemevarun Parat Jaa her first commercial natak.
Kale has won many lifetime achievement awards such as the V. Shantaram Jeevan Gaurav, for her long contribution to Marathi cinema.
