But an adviser deterred her by telling her that she was too far behind in math, and would never succeed as a meteorologist. This pushed her to earn a journalism degree. However, Brittany took as many meteorology classes as possible to fill her other class requirements.
- But the journalism degree didn’t satisfy her, so she pursued another degree at the Mississippi State University, this time, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences and Operational Meteorology.
- Boyer made the Dean’s List and was also the College of Communications Diversity Ambassador.
Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- Boyer started her broadcasting career as an anchor and multi-media journalist at WPSU Penn State’s Centre County Report. She did both online and on-air content & one of her most notable reports was in February 2011, where she covered President Obama’s visit to Penn State University.
- She was an on-air weather broadcaster for AccuWeather for a year in 2010 – 2011, where she received training in weather presentation from Chief Meteorologist Bernie Rayno. While providing online and radio broadcasts, Brittany described her day there as receiving meteorologists’ briefings and presenting the weather forecasts nationwide.
- From 2011-2013, Boyer was a reporter with WJAC-TV in DuBois, PA. In her role as a reporter, she covered breaking news such as the death of Joe Paterno and the riots in Penn State following Paterno’s death. As a fill-in Weather Anchor, Boyer presented on the weather for West Central, Pennsylvania.
- With WNEP-TV, an affiliate with ABC, Boyer worked as a weekend TV meteorologist. Covering the seventeen counties in Pennsylvania, she had a chance to report on the diverse weather conditions. During her stint there, she reported tornadoes and winter storms.
- In 2016, Boyer moved back to AccuWeather & won an award for ‘Best Weathercast’.
- After working for four years at AccuWeather (she left in April 2021), WPVI Philadelphia decided to hire Boyer for its Action News team.

Brittany is the best meteorologist hands down. She is literally a ray of sunshine. She has an easygoing professional style. She is smart and also so attractive, with an amazing fashion sense. She is as close to perfect as one can get and is the main reason I watch that station!
