Introduction :
- Aaren Simpson was the daughter of the disgraced football player & alleged murder suspect, O.J. Simpson. Gone way too soon, Aaren died before she had even turned two years old.
Aaren’s Birth, Parents & Siblings :
- When O.J. Simpson was just 19 years old, he married his first wife, Marguerite Whitley.
- The pair had met in high school through OJ’s best friend who also happened to be Whitley’s boyfriend at the time. The couple married after they graduated from high school. At this time, O.J. was a member of the University of Southern California (USC) football team.
- OJ was eventually picked up by the Buffalo Bills & would travel across the United States with his wife and their first child, a daughter named Arnelle Simpson.
- The Simpsons welcomed two other children in the years to come, a boy named Jason Simpson and their youngest, Aaren on September 24, 1977.
- The New York Times reported that Whitley & OJ had a difficult time making their marriage work from the very beginning. The couple eventually filed for divorce in 1979, just two years after it was alleged that he was seeing Nicole Brown, a cocktail waitress.
- After their divorce, Whitley dropped out of sight and could not even be reached to give an interview for the documentary by ESPN called, O.J. – Made in America.
- Simpson’s has other children, Sydney Brooke and Justin Ryan. He also went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers before scandal caught up to him.
Aaren’s Untimely Death & Accident :
- Aaren was born on 24th September 1977 but sadly, did not live past the age of two.
- In August of 1979, Aaren accidentally fell into a swimming pool. She was rescued and immediately rushed to the Medical Centre at UCLA, Westlake Village, California.
- Unfortunately, the doctors could not save her and she passed away on 26th August 1979. She died just a month shy from her 2nd birthday.
- When she died, her parents, Marguerite and O.J. had already finalised their divorce just early on in the year.
OJ’s Controversial Life :
- As time went by, OJ’s narcissistic attitude began to cost him his career and revealed a disturbing pattern of mistreatment and abuse of women.
- Many people alleged that he used to physically abuse his wives and past girlfriends.
- O.J. was later linked to the murder of his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman but was found not guilty of the murder charges.
- Simpson would later write a cryptic and rather damning book detailing how he would have carried out the murders if “he had done it.”
- He was later arrested and sentenced to a reduced 33 year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery but was released on parole in 2017.
