- Jocqui’s career actually started when he became a child actor. In 1994 Jocqui and all of his siblings were cast in a show called ‘On Our Own,’ which revolved around the brothers and sisters looking out for each other after their parents passed away. The show itself only ran for one season till ABC canceled it in 1995.
- In 2013, Jocqui interned as a Business Consultant for a firm called ‘Gold Millennium Group Consulting’ in Beijing, China.
- He also worked for the NYLA International Film Festival as an Assistant Financial Officer for a few months.
- Jocqui’s brother Jussie Smollett is a singer and actor and has starred in movies and series such as ‘The Mighty Ducks,’ ‘The Mindy Project’ and ‘Alien Covenant.’
