- Kennya was born in Brazil and is the daughter of the highly respected Eumir Deodato.
- He is known as a sought-after producer, composer, arranger and performer who has worked with the likes of Bjork, K.D. Lang and Kool & The Gang throughout his career.
- She met actor Stephen Baldwin in 1987, and was said to have immediately fallen in love with him. The two were married in 1990.
- The couple welcomed two daughters together, Alaia Baldwin in 1993 followed by Hailey Baldwin in 1996.

- In her children’s younger years, she home-schooled them, to allow the family to travel together while Stephan worked away.
- Stephen & Kennya’s children have repeatedly referred to them as ‘couple goals’ on social media as they are said to still be as in love as the day they met, and are both quite romantic.
- Her daughter has claimed that Leonardo DiCaprio once asked Kennya on a date. While sitting in a London bar with Hailey, DiCaprio reportedly came over and asked her to go out with him. After she told him that he had better check with her husband first, he replied ‘Oooh, Never Mind’ and walked away.

- Having lapsed from Christianity as a young adult, she reportedly returned to it with help from her children’s nanny.
- After the birth of her first daughter Alaia, they hired a Portuguese nanny to assist them who would sing to the baby daily about Jesus.
- When asked why that was all she sang about, the nanny revealed that she had seen through a prophetic word that she would come to work for the Baldwins and lead them back to Christianity.
- While this initially freaked out her husband and thought the nanny was crazy, Kennya began attending a Brazilian evangelical church in New York and found her faith to be renewed.
