- She is currently married to Denis Villeneuve, an award-winning Canadian writer and movie director who has directed famous Hollywood films like Arrival in 2016, Blade Runner 2049 in 2017 and Polytechnique in 2009, to name a few.

- After her graduation, Tanya landed a job with Radio Canada, was based in Ontario. Here she went on to work in Tout le monde en parle, a popular Quebec talk show.

- In 2017, she worked as an assistant director for the movie Blade Runner 2049. When she learnt that her husband was going for the shooting and pre-production of the movie in Budapest, she applied for a sabbatical for a year from Radio Canada, to work as an assistant director to her husband.

- When Tanya was young, she loved books and was an avid reader & always wanted to write one as well. Later on in her life, her dream had come true.
- For two months when Tanya was working on the sets of a movie which her husband had directed, the crew was clueless about her relationship with him. She was seen more as a team member than a director’s wife.
- From the age of twelve till her late teens, Tanya learnt classical ballet and has good command over it.
- She is fluent in French, besides English.
- She likes flowers and architecture as evident from many posts about them on her Instagram page.
