Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education
- Dara Mir was born in Iran in 1982. In the upheaval following the culmination of the Iranian Revolution of 1979, Dara’s parents decided to leave Iran and move to the United States.
- Dara’s mother and father built a manufacturing company upon arriving in the United States, and Dara grew up as part of the family business. He could frequently be found sweeping in warehouses and helping his parents out in whatever capacity he was able.
- The Mir family ended up having to close down the manufacturing company due to the fast-paced and extremely competitive ways of the manufacturing industry, but their hard work and dedication instilled many values in their son from a very young age.
- After graduating from high school, Dara attended the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. He was there from 1998 to 2002 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
