- Lesa has four siblings – brothers Peter Tyo and Michael Tyo, and sisters Giselle Tyo Turchett and Stephany Horn.
- For her education, Lewis attended the Angelina College in 1998, where she earned a business certificate in Real Estate.
- Lesa is married to Robert Douglas ‘Doug’ Lewis, a former truck driver. Doug’s career as a truck driver is what drove Lesa to make an actual career out of her storage unit bidding hobby. At one point, she was only seeing Doug once a month due to his ongoing travels across the country.
- Currently, she resides in Crockett, Texas.

- Lesa started out in the world of storage unit bidding as a hobbyist in 2006, until her husband Doug’s job made her realize they would be better off pursuing it as a full-time option. Initially, Lesa would attend storage unit auctions and then sell the products she would find out of her own storage units, like smaller-scale garage sales.
- She has since opened her own resale shop, Again & Again Resale, in her current residence of Crockett, Texas. The opening of the shop was featured in the very first episode of Storage Wars Texas.
- Lesa partnered up with her assistant Jerry Simpson, and together they became frequent cast members on the A&E Storage Wars spin-off Storage Wars Texas.
- Currently, she continues to travel all over her state of Texas, finding abandoned storage units and bidding on them to discover and resell various finds.
