- The character Doreen Tipton was created by actress, Gill Jordan who has since been compared to fellow content creator Colleen Ballinger, the creator of Miranda Hart.
- Gill Jordan resides in West Midlands in Walshall and is the director of a touring theatre company. She, like her character Doreen, has three children but is very different from Doreen, who is more brash and outspoken.
- Screenwriter wrote Gill’s viral sketch, David Tristram and Doreen’s accent was heavily influenced by her own natural accent, which is from Black Country.
