Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Trish McEvoy was born in Dublin, Ireland.
- However, she lived with her grandmother in Berlin for the first 12 years of her life. Her grandmother owned a perfumery there.
- Both Trish’s grandma, as well as her mother, allowed little Trish to experiment with makeup and perfume bottles, even before she was five years old!
- Whenever Trish was in the mood, her dolls were lucky – for she expertly painted their faces!
- Later on, she expanded her experiments to include friends and acquaintances too. Nonetheless, the lipstick always remained Trish’s favorite toy.
- She met her husband, the famous dermatologist, Dr. Ronald Sherman, while on a blind date set up by her friends. Trish calls this blind date ‘the most memorable gift she has ever received.’
- Dr. Ronald and Trish had bought an oceanside home from Ford Motors Heiress, Elena Ford, for $5.495 million. In March 2018, they had listed this house for sale at $23.5 million.
- In September 2018, Dr. Ronald passed away at the age of 82 from complications arising due to Parkinson’s Disease. At the time of his death, he and Trish were married for 39 years.

- Trish did not need to attend any special school or college to study “beauty” in-depth! She knew well that she wished to be ‘just like her grandmother’!
- When her family relocated to the U.S., Trish first took up a job with the department store Thalheimers in Richmond, Virginia. She loved the experience of standing behind the cosmetics counter and handling Estee Lauder products!
- After about a year, Trish took up the role of educator for the same products in New York.
- As a representative of Estee Lauder, she was able to appear on live television shows targeted at local audiences. The shows helped her to improve her skills as a makeup artist immensely!
- She also took up the role of beauty spokesperson for Good Morning America and other channels for some time.

- At the age of 25 (during the mid-1970s), Trish decided to launch her own company.
- She had always noticed that makeup kits lacked brushes with good shapes or healthy bristles & devoted maximum attention to developing separate luxury brushes for various makeup tasks.
- A paintbrush manufacturer helped to make her designs a reality.
- By the age of 30, she had turned the business into a multi-million dollar company.
