Shannon Mulaire has a love-hate relationship with politics! It can be her favorite topic of conversation most of the time, and her least favorite, sometimes! Nonetheless, she enjoys how it helps her connect to all kinds of people.
Personal Life :
- Shannon was born in Stamford, Connecticut.
- She lives in Boston with her family. Her family comprises a husband and two young children.
- Shannon feels highly connected with her paternal grandfather, despite passing away when she was still very young. This was because her parents fed her all manner of stories about her grandpa’s abilities as a surgeon and veteran.
- Her favorite cartoons while growing up were Looney Tunes and The Jetsons.
- She grew up on ‘soccer,’ thereafter acquiring a deep passion for it. She loves the sport so much that when asked if she were not a journalist, Shannon confesses that she would have become a Coach for a girls soccer team.

- Shannon completed her high school at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. She was there from 1995 until 1999.
- Thereafter, in 1999, she gained admission into Wellesley College, located to the west of Boston. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from there in 2003. She graduated cum-laude, majoring in both, Cinema and Media Studies, and Spanish.
- A Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College soon followed. She was at Emerson from 2004 until 2005, where she received the departmental award for excellence.
- She has spent time in Spain and Mexico, studying Spanish.
Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- Shannon’s first job was at WFTX – TV, at Fort Myers in Florida. She was a producer and writer from June 2006 until June 2008, with her expertise in Spanish serving her well.
- Next, she was a Reporter for WTVT – TV, from July 2008 until July 2010.
- Fox 25 WFXT – TV hired Shannon from August 2010 until August 2011 as a General Assignment Reporter/Fill-in Anchor. She stayed on with the station until January 2012, albeit as a Weekend Anchor/Weekday General Assignment Reporter.
- WFXT – TV later promoted her to Morning Anchor, wherein she covered all manner of news stories, carried out live interviews, etc. She was in this position until January 2015.
- The next two years, she took up the roles of anchor for Early Today on NBC and First Look on MSNBC.
- Since April 2016, she serves the evening anchor for New England Cable Network (NECN) / NBC10 Boston.

- Apart from reading, Shannon loves watching the news.
- Shannon also adores watching movies.
- She also loves to make her presence felt on social networking sites, especially Twitter (now called X) and Facebook.
- Her dream is to travel to South America, Hawaii, and other beautiful places, especially those with amazing histories.
- She uses the Apple iPhone and has major news outlet apps loaded on it.
- In September 2020, Mulaire completed her first Boston Marathon virtually! She ran to raise money for the David Ortiz Children’s Fund and eventually raised $10,000 in the whole process. David Ortiz Children’s Fund raises money for New England families so they can afford critical cardiac health services.
- Shannon firmly believes that everything in life happens for a reason! In other words, she is an extremely positive-minded person. This gives her the strength to enjoy the little things in life with greater vitality!
