- Tallant first became interested in cars while modeling with them for a Toronto event. She says she is not a ‘love at first sight’ kind of girl, but that’s what happened the first time she saw a ‘Rat Rod.’ She “just kept staring at it” and “completely stopped caring about my job, just wanting to know everything about the car.”
- Soon, she began to take some automotive courses and learn her way around the garage, never dreaming she would become a TV celebrity for her work as a mechanic. Later, she even graduated from the welding program at George Brown College.
- Twiggy first started in April 2014, at the Welder’s Up repair shop, learning the trade as a mechanic’s apprentice on the Vegas Rat Rod show.
- Twiggy is thankful for the opportunities that the Rat Rod team gave her, their patience and shadowing opportunities, and their support as she learned the art of welding.
