‘Lagnachi Wife Weddingchi Bayko’ is a story that revolves around a small-town young man, Madan (played by actor Vijay Andalkar). He works as a driver for an industrialist in London. To get an English citizenship card, he pretends to fall in love with the industrialist’s daughter, Maria (played by actress Leeana Anand). The problem then arises when Maria ends up falling in love with him and proposes to Madan!
But there is a big twist in a plot – Madan is already married in India with a girl in his hometown named ‘Kajol’ (played by actress Rupali Zankar). Even after Maria finds out that Madan is already married, she is ready anyway to settle down with him in India, and stay with his family. She accompanies Madan while he is traveling to India.
After coming to India, Kajol has a hard time to understand the language Maria speaks. She, however, does not know that Madan and Maria are engaged in England.
Madan’s younger brother knows the truth of Madan and Maria. The brothers try to manage the difficulties of Madan facing his family and Kajol. Madan introduces Maria as a friend from London, who is a from a royal family, and hence, is a princess. It will be interesting to see how long Madan manages to play this hide and seek & hide this big lie from his family.
Though the storyline looks similar to another Zee Marathi series, Mazhya Navryachi Bayko, where Gurunath gets sandwiched with two wives- Radhika and Shanaya, it has an international angle to it with different cultures being brought together.
It will be fun to see how Madan balances his life between Kajol and Maria. Comedy and light-hearted content is missing from serials these days, and we hope this serial provides it.
