  1. I just want to say how impressed I am by Susan Hennessy’s knowledge and grasp of so many issues. She looks as if she might be close to my daughter’s age (she is), but if that is the case, Susan is certainly wise beyond her years.

When I first saw Susan on CNN a month or two ago, she was placed at the far end of any panels she served on and was rendered almost breathless in trying to impart such a wealth of information and comprehension in the small amount of time that had been allotted to her. In that end seat, we could barely see her face in profile, and she often had to shake her hair out of her face; but we could definitely detect her enthusiasm and excitement about the topic of discussion.

But now, she has both improved her delivery (and even her look), and is so poised, that she has clearly been ‘promoted’ to the head of any CNN panel she appears on, and is – thankfully – frequently being given full-screen solo ‘talking-head’ screen-time. I am so happy to be able to see and hear more of her and her wisdom.

Within the past week or so, I was particularly impressed to hear Susan Hennessy beg to respectfully differ from her esteemed colleagues (maybe Dana B. And Gloria B…?) on the import of [at the time] the potential for Trump’s phone dealings with Ukraine’s – which have indeed since come to pass. I think Gloria and Dana (both of whom are, I think, brilliant) may soon have to find themselves deferring to Susan Hennessy.

I want to congratulate Susan on being so quickly recognized as an in-depth analyst for CNN, and also to congratulate CNN on finding her and using her so effectively.

I admire many, many of CNN’s reporters and analysts; they are all such assets to that network’s presentation of the news. But this is the first time I have come across someone on CNN who is so exciting enough to compel me to write something like this.

    I want more Susan Hennessy!

    1. Totally agree with you and you said it so well! I definitely listen when Susan speaks…such knowledge and passion!

  2. I have nothing but absolute respect for Ms. Hennessy’s superior intellect and verbal ability to communicate and get her message across. She makes me feel as if I perpetually live in slow motion!

  3. No doubt she is well learned with regards to politics, however she would be easier to watch if she were not so dramatic with her eyes!
