Introduction :
Arunima Sharma is a famous Indian television actress best known for playing the character of ‘Rano’ in the popular Balaji Telefilms’ soap opera, `Kasamh Se`.
Personal Life :
Arunima was born on August 23, 1981, in Duliajan, District. Dibrugarh, Assam. Her family included her parents – Her father was a doctor in a central hospital of Oil India Ltd. at Duliajan. She had her initial education in Assam.
In the year 1997, she moved to Mumbai for higher studies. She took up the subject of Food and Nutrition and did her Masters in the same. She took up the career of acting because she was not finding any suitable job according to her qualifications.
Family :
Arunima is the younger sister of model turned actor Dipannita Sharma. Dipannita made her Bollywood debut in the movie ‘16 December’ released in 2002. She was then seen in many movies like ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar,’ ‘My Brother…Nikhil,’ ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl,’ ‘Jodi Breakers,’ ‘Take it Easy’ and a few more.
She also did some TV shows like ‘Piya Kay Ghar Jana Hai,’ ‘Har dil jo love karega,’ ‘Life Nahi Hai Laddoo’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
Early Career and Professional Life – :
When she decided to get into acting, she got her portfolio clicked by some fashion photographers and then sent it to different production houses. Soon after she was called for the auditions by Balaji Telefilms.
She was quite nervous at the auditions and unfortunately couldn’t get through. She didn’t lose faith in herself. She worked hard on her acting skills and kept on auditioning. In the year 2004, she was offered a cameo in a hugely popular teen-show of that time, `Remix`. This show revolved around the lives of teen kids studying in a boarding school. Arunima played the character of ‘Ira’ for more than 25 episodes.
Growth of TV Career :
Her performance was liked by many and she started to get more offers. She, then, played the character Alia in ‘Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai,’ which was a romantic drama-series produced by Balaji Telefilms.
Around the same time, she played the character of Priya in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kavyanjali’ which aired on STAR Plus. This show has been ranked at No. 6 on the list of Star Plus’ top 10 shows of all time. Besides these, she also played Sonu Agarwal in one of the most favorite TV shows of that time, ’Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’.
Role in Kasamh Se – :
Arunima’s best performance was seen in Balaji Telefilms’ show ‘Kasamh Se.’ The story of the show revolved around the life of three sisters Bani, Piya, and Rano. Arunima portrayed the character of Rano, who was the youngest among the three.
She believed that this role was tough as compared to her previous projects because her character, Rano, got married in the Walia household at a very young age. It was really a challenging task to portray the emotions of that girl. But, Arunima did an unbelievably great job and was praised a lot by the viewers.
