Emily Austen is an American sports reporter, journalist, and social media personality formerly working for Fox Sports.
She was in news in June 2016 after a controversy, when Fox fired her after allegedly making racist remarks & comments, when she appeared on a Barstool Sports podcast.

Emily has been out of the spotlight for some time after being let go from Fox News in mid-2016. In June 2018, she thanked her family & friends who supported her during the ‘Darkest days’ of her life & urged others to ‘Never give up.’

After finishing high school, Emily attended Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, where she majored in Communication in Multimedia Journalism and also received a minor in Spanish.
Her love for track and cross country didn’t fade as she was a member of the Owls’ cross country and track teams for four years.

Being an athlete herself, Emily had an easy time relating to other athletes, and consequently, sports journalism became her passion.
During her time at FAU, she was the director and producer of FAU Sports Weekly.

After graduating, Emily got a job as a production assistant at Golf Channel, where she worked for the next year.
After leaving Golf Channel, she worked at Nexstar Broadcasting Group as a Sports Anchor/Reporter for a couple of years.
Headhunters quickly noticed Emily’s passion for sports and journalism as she landed a job at the Boston Celtics, working as an In-arena Host/Reporter. During her time there, she was the Host and Producer of the Celtics 30-minute live pregame show and also used to conduct interviews and post-game analysis.
