Erin is originally from Albany, New York.
She attended the Shaker High School from 1992 – 1995.
Education : Graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1999.

Since September 6, 2008, Erin is happily married to builder Sal Paone Jr. and has three kids with her husband. Her first child – daughter Sienna Kateri was born in July 2009. Sons Sebastian and Alexander followed a few years later.
Sal and Erin had first met when she had done one story on him.

Erin spent time producing episodes of an MTV documentary called “True Life” before she started doing the news. While working for MTV, she spent most of her time in New York City but also traveled all over the country, following teens and young adults as they grappled with issues like bipolar disorder and drug addiction
She has a strong background covering politics, as she began her broadcasting career at Capital News 9 in her hometown of Albany, New York.
Erin worked as an anchor and reporter in August 2002 at Time Warner Cable News and worked at the station for two years.

From August 2004 to December 2005, Erin Worked as an Anchor/reporter for ABC11 Eyewitness News on WTVD, which is an ABC-owned station in Durham, North Carolina. While at the station, she covered everything from breaking news to UNC pep rallies to hurricanes ripping through the State.
Erin joined the Action News Team in Philadelphia as a General Assignment Reporter in January of 2006. She then took a leave from the station to focus on her family in 2010.
In 2013, she returned to the station on a part-time basis, and in mid-2017, she stopped appearing regularly on-air, telling on Twitter (now called X) that she had “sort of retired.”

In Dec 2019, she announced her return again & currently continues to be associated with ABC 6 Philadelphia.
