Jennifer grew up in California & always assumed she’d stay in her home state. That changed after college, however, when she met her to-be-husband Kevin Fisher.
She moved with Kevin to New York, and in 2001, they married each other.
At just age 27, Jennifer was diagnosed with a rare form of estrogen-driven tumor. Doctors told her she would have to undergo chemotherapy and may never be able to carry a child.

Conception indeed proved to be very difficult for Jennifer, who underwent IVF treatments & even attempted to use a surrogate.
After taking a half-year break from trying, Fisher finally got pregnant and in March 2005, gave birth to her son Shane. Two years later, in 2007, she gave birth to her daughter Drew.
She continues to live with her husband, children, and a dog named Tito inside a 4,100 square-foot luxurious loft in New York.

With the goal of attending a large institution with plenty of resources to provide, Jennifer enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC).

She looked at jewelry but only found delicate pieces that looked too fragile to capture the feelings she felt toward her son.

Seeing nothing she wanted, she made her own piece, a dog-tag necklace with her son’s name that she wore on a heavy gold chain.
When friends and family began commenting on the bold piece, Fisher realized that she found a new business opportunity and began designing customized pieces with a strong, bold look.
