Earlier, she had attained rapid fame as the constant companion of famous West Indian cricketer Brian Lara. Over the years, however, Leasel Rovedas has come into her own as a well-known radio and television personality, make-up artist, and stylist. She is as big a celebrity as he is!

Born in the mid-1970s, Leasel hails from Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.
She was raised in a town called Santa Cruz.
She has three siblings, with the self-being second in line.

Though they were never married, Brian Lara has two daughters by Leasel. Brian and Leasel first started dating in the mid-1990s.
Three years into the relationship, the couple had their first daughter. Lara named his older daughter, who was born in 1996, like Sydney. This was his tribute to the famous Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Australia, where he had scored his first test century (1992-93).
