She is also a former News anchor for Fox26 News where she co-anchored the 5p.m. and 9p.m. News.

Later, Melinda also worked for WGNO News, New Orleans where she reported the morning updates & also for KTLA, Los Angeles as a morning producer and writer.

In the year 2004, she joined KRIV Fox 26 in Houston Texas as a News Reporter. Soon, she was given the role of being the noon anchor.
Melinda worked there for 12 long years until in August 2017, she decided not to renew her contract.
