Introduction :
Amir Tyson is well-known as the son of the former professional boxer Mike Tyson. Mike had a glorious yet controversial career but remained the undisputed world heavyweight champion till he retired.
Early Life, Education and Career :
- Amir Tyson was born on August 5, 1997, to parents – Mike Tyson (father) and his second wife, Monica Turner (mother). He is the first child of Mike and Monica and has one younger sister – Rayna Tyson and 7 other half-siblings.
- Mike and Monica were married in 1997 and were divorced in 2003. Monica, at the time of divorce filling, was working as a pediatric resident at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
- Amir grew up with his mother and sister, mostly in Bethesda, Maryland, and attended St Andrews Episcopal School and graduated from it in 2015. He then went on to be accepted into American University in Washington, D.C. He is also on the University’s club baseball team.
- In 2016, in the second year of University, Amir was named as one of the 110 suspected underage drinkers that were slapped with alcohol citations at an off-campus frat party that was held at Pi Kappa Alpha house off Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. He was one of the minors that appeared in the District Court in Rockville in April of 2016.
- After graduating from American University in early 2019 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History, Amir kickstarted his own clothing label brand called “Debonair Attire.” Amir has stated that his mother is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, so a portion of his company’s sales are donated to MS research.
