- Nicole Curran was born on October 28, 1968, in Pennsylvania. When she was only four-years-old, her parents got divorced, and she was raised by her mother, Barbara.
- When Nicole was thirteen, her parents couldn’t afford to take care of her properly, and so she was sent to Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The school was a boarding school for orphans or children who couldn’t be raised by their parents.
- Nicole remained at Milton Hershey until she was fifteen, when her mother, Barbara, took her back to Washington DC, where she’d found employment.
- Nicole maintained herself through various jobs at the weekends, and she graduated from high school in DC.
- She then received a full scholarship from an anonymous donor to George Washington University, where she earned a degree.
- Nicole met the man who would become her husband, Joe Lacob, in 2006 at a Pebble Beach golf tournament. Joe is Nicole’s second husband, following her marriage to a doctor.

- Nicole then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she was a teacher helping the youth transition from the Black Canyon Prison into the Phoenix Union District High School.
- Currently, she heads the Warriors Community Foundation, which is heavily involved with supporting the community in Oakland, California. Working there since 2012, Nicole has helped the foundation raise over six million dollars for the community. - In 2019, Nicole became the target of cyberbullying after a misunderstood moment between her and Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the NBA final. Nicole was the hostess at the game, and she leaned over to ask rapper Jay-Z whether he wanted a drink. At that point, Beyoncé had an unimpressed expression that her fans took as a sign of distaste.
- Nicole received so much abuse that she had to disable her Instagram account temporarily. It has since been a private account, and she has no other social media accounts. She has stated that it taught her a lot about what kids and NBA players experience regarding cyberbullying.
