  • Christine Dailey was born on September 7, 1959, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born to parents Mary (mother) and Robert (father), Christine has two brothers, Edward and Michael, and a sister, Diane.
  • Although she has influenced many young women’s lives, Chris does not have any kids of her own, nor has she ever been married. When once asked in an interview, if she would ever get married Chris had answered, ”I don’t know.”
  • Not willing to settle, Chris once explained that the happy marriages in her family “[gave her] perspective on how things are supposed to happen.”

Early Life and Education :

  • Chris developed strict ideologies from her Irish Catholic upbringing. Some of the rules she now applies to her players: no jeans on team outings, no sweatpants in class, no nail polish on the court, no headphones in public, and no visible tattoos.
  • One former player also describes how Chris taught them to “look millionaires in the eye” and “have a conversation with [people] out of [their] age group.”
  • After attending St. Peter’s High School, Dailey went to Rutgers University to earn a degree in health and physical education. On the basketball team from 1978-1982 and serving as the team captain in her final two years, she helped them win the 1982 AIAW Division 1 national championship.

Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

  • With long-time aspirations of becoming a high school teacher and coach, Chris changed her mind during her senior year at college when she had a negative student-teaching experience.
  • She decided on teaching younger kids while just coaching in high school when she was offered an assistant coaching position at Cornell University.

Awards and Accolades :
