- Born in England, on 13th January 1972, Kris’s full name is Svend Christoffer Stael Thykier.
- Little information is available on his early life. He is married to Claudia Winkleman, a TV host well-known for presenting BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. They were married in a private ceremony in 2000.
- The couple has three children. Their firstborn son Jake was born in March 2003; daughter Matilda in June 2006 and Arthur in July 2011.
