- Originally from Pune, Sajiri Deshpande is well-known as the wife of Marathi actor Amey Wagh. They were in a relationship for over 13 years, since their college years.
- Both Amey and Sajiri were studying in Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC). Amey participated in many dramas and plays in college, and in one of the rehearsals Sajiri came to see the play, and that is where she fell in love with him.
- She sent one of her friends with a message, but at the time he was busy in a Natak competition and said he will reply after it was over. Eventually, he proposed to her as a surprise.
- They got married on 2nd June 2017 at the Shruti Mangal Karyalaya in Pune.
