Sara MacDonald was born on October 22, 1971, to parents Rory & Norma MacDonald. Both of them were schoolteachers in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Both parents raised her to be very conscientious about education & sent her into Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools because of that.
The Mary Erskine School, often called MES, is part of the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools. They have schools for every age level, including nursery education.

MacDonald graduated from the all-girls school and began her career shortly afterward.
