Mandar Devasthali is a popular marathi director, most famous for his number of hit serials on Zee Marathi and other channels.
His height is around 5 feet 9 inches.
Professional Life :
Mandar started his career as an assistant director in 1990. He worked as an assistant director to director Baba Sawant for his serials on Doordarshan ‘Dinmaan’ and ‘Satyawati’. He also assisted him in other serials like ‘Raja Raje’ and ‘Mala Nahi Jamayche’.
The year 1994 was a challenging year for him in terms of his career, as he shot pilot(test) episodes for many serials, but none of them were converted to long TV shows. He was shooting for a telefilm called Abhinetri but even that was cancelled.
Afterward, in 1997 he met the legendary actor/director Vinay Apte who liked his work and gave him an opportunity. He directed a few episodes for serials like Bokya Satbande, Valvacha Paus etc for Apte.
However, his big break came in the serial Abhalmaya in 2000, which was a changing point for his career, as well as for the Marathi TV industry. Thereafter, he directed a lot of hit serials like Avantika, Vaadalvat, Agnihotra, Vasudha, Zhunj, and many others.
Kuch toh log Kahenge by Rajan Shahi productions was his debut Hindi serial. He has also directed a film called Kshan with Subodh Bhave, but it failed to impress at the box office.
Later, in 2013, he also turned producer with the serial Honaar Sun me Hya Gharchi followed by Majhe Pati Saubhagyavati, which stars the actor Vaibhav Mangale.
He is a proud owner of the Range Rover car. Over the range of his career, he has directed over 3000 episodes across his various serials
