  1. Dan, thank you for your service
But everyone has a right to bare arms to defend their rights to live and be protected by the constitution of the U. S. Here I believe the differences begin. I me myself and I that if the government has a slingshot I have the constitutional right to have two if I want

  2. Ken…as a combat veteran, we all need to get real. There is absolutely no reason why anyone in this great country of ours needs to bear arms by owning a military grade, semi-automatic or modified weapon (of war) other than the military or law enforcement.

Mrs. Watts is not attacking the 2nd Amendment, but only asking that we have “common sense” rules for safe firearm use. Let’s give her a break.

  3. Dan, as a former military man as you self identified, you would know that there are 0 military grade weapons available on the streets. Maybe they look like them, but are far from their capabilities. Now to citizens owning them, yes there is a reason. Perhaps a close look at the year 1776.Our own military were actively working on behalf of the government to oppress us and the militia (citizens) grabbed their guns and took it to fight for freedom. In doing so we ended up winning and forming our great country we see today. And the 2nd Amendment is very clear about its purpose of if this shall repeat itself again, the militia (citizens) will have a fight against bigger military acting upon the government. So I will have to assume, based on evidence, that you are either A. ) not a former combat veteran B. ) extremely ignorant on US History C. ) really wished the Brits would’ve have won
