Eva Karene Bartlett was born on June 14, 1977, in Michigan, USA. She was raised in Ontario, Canada.
Bartlett went to the Centre Wellington District High School in Fergus, Ontario and was an honors scholar.
In 1997, she went to Mount Allison University, in New Brunswick, Canada and earned honors in Music and French. She spent a year as an exchange student at the Universite Marc Bloch in Strasbourg, France and was awarded a language immersion diploma.

Volunteer & Teaching Work :

In 1998, Eva worked as a librarian for the music department of Mount Allison University and a caterer for social functions for the University President.
In the summer of 2001, Bartlett worked as a French interpreter for the archaeology department in Carthage, Tunisia and then returned to Canada working as a research aide for the French Department.

In the fall of 2002, she worked as an English language instructor for Finer English in Kassel, Germany with adult corporate clients.
From June 2003, Bartlett took a position at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd teaching English and developing her own curriculum, in Geoje Island, South Korea.
Eva then moved to Busan, South Korea as an English language instructor with TOEIC preparation academy.

She has given speeches in opposition of the White Helmets, a volunteer rescue group funded by western nation governments, saying they are using fake footage and terrorist fighters dressed as humanitarian workers, which the group denies.

Further, Eva states that Western media doesn’t represent the truth in reporting on the conflict in the Middle East. Bartlett lived in the Gaza Strip from 2008 to 2013, arriving by boat as part of the Free Gaza missions and volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement. She speaks some Arabic and a bit of French and has accompanied Palestinian fishermen and farmers while they worked, documenting their conflicts in the region.
