‘Mrs. Mukhyamantri’ is a story which revolves around a young small-town girl Suman (played by actress Amruta Dhongade) from Satara, who becomes Mrs. Mukhyamantri due to the twist of fate.
Suman’s mother dies when she was very young. Now, Suman is an adult and works as a sweet-seller. She is a hardworking girl who is trying to make a living for herself. Since then she continues to live with her Tatya. Tatya is a drunkard and steals money.
Samar Patil (played by actor Tejas Barve) is a pilot by profession. Anuradha Patil (Samar’s Mom) has always dreamt of becoming Mrs. Mukhyamantri and wants her husband Sarjerao Patil (Samar’s Father) to become Mukhyamantri of the state. She tells Baban to order a sample of sweets from Suman if her husband becomes Mukhyamantri. Baban orders a sample of sweets from Suman & tells her the reason for ordering the sweets. Suman misunderstands the matter and spreads rumours of Sarjerao Patil becoming the Chief Minister.
In another storyline, Suman meets Samar while he gets locked in the car. Suman misunderstands him as a driver of Patil Family. Suman reaches bungalow to take the order of sweets. After knowing that she is not going to take any order. She reveals that she was supposed to get an order of sweets on the occasion of Sarjerao Patil being announced as next Chief Minister. Political members arrive in Patil’s bungalow to attend the secret meeting. Anuradha tries to change their minds and indirectly convince them to support Sarjerao Patil.
Mrs. Mukhyamantri replaced the long-running show Lagira Jhala Ji for the 7 PM spot.
