James Cosmo is a Scottish actor, best known for a number of hit movies – Highlander (1986), Braveheart (1995), Trainspotting (1996), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Troy (2004) and TV series namely Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy.

James Cosmo was born on May 24, 1948 in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.
For his education, he went to Hartfield primary school in Dumbarton.
He attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and also studied at the Bristol Old Vic drama school.

James is the son of parents – Father actor James Copeland.
He has been married to Annie Harris since May 24, 2000.

Worked with Heath Ledger in The Four Feathers (2002).
Starred with Robert Carlyle in two movies. First was in Trainspotting as Mr Renton, Carlyle’s character was Begbie. Second was To End All Wars (2001) as McLean, Carlyle’s character was named as Campbell.
Appeared in UFO as SHADO operative Lieutenant Anderson, and in “Take the High Road” as Alex Geddes from 1982 until 1983.

He acted in Sharman MacDonald’s play, “Shades,” in 1992 at the Albery Theatre in London, England with Patricia Hodge and Rona Anderson in the cast. Simon Callow was director.
Played the role of Lieutenant-Colonel Philip Drysdale in the seventh series of Soldier.
