Rujuta Deshmukh, a Marathi film and TV actress, was born and brought up in Pune. Her family included her parents – Her father, Avinash Deshmukh, was the owner of a theatre company in Pune. This introduced the young Rujuta to the world of acting.
Education : She completed her graduation in English Literature from SP College, a renowned college in Pune.
Rujuta started her childhood acting career with a small role in a play, right in the 4th standard, and worked in almost 500 shows. During her college life, she started a role in the natak ‘Abhinetri.’ Her most memorable TV roles were as Sai Bai in Star Pravah Serial Raja Shiv Chattrapati and the lead role in Zee Marathi’s Kalat Nakalat serial.
She also tried her hand at direction with the show Shahir and assisted in costume design. She was also part of one Hindi film – Family.
