After graduating from the Norwich High School for Girls and gaining some experience in the journalism industry, Piper enrolled in a vocational program called the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
The NCTJ, another non-profit organisation based in the UK, is funded by media companies looking to provide extra training to their employees who either do not have the funds to attend a university or may simply require an extra accreditation.

Piper enrolled in the training organization and earned her NCTJ Multimedia Sports Journalism Diploma, marking her as a certified journalist in areas such as sports journalism, reporting, essential media law and regulation, court reporting, and other essential public affairs topics.
This accreditation allowed her to push her career to where she is now.

While working for ITV, the UK’s national network for weekend news, Piper also co-hosted Future Radio 107.8’s Breakfast Show.
Piper worked for Future Radio two days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

In September 2015, Piper began training with Sportsbeat, the company that helped her enroll in the NCTJ vocational program. In May 2016, Piper ended her training with Sportsbeat and earned her diploma.
In January 2016, Piper left London and earned a job at ITV Anglia in Norfolk as a production specialist and weather presenter. She continues to work with ITV doing both pre-recorded weather segments and live/on-site segments.
