Kelsey Redmore was born on July 31, 1991, in Port Talbot, Wales, to parents Steven L. Redmore and Ceri Redmore. She is an only child.
After growing up and attending St Joseph’s School in Port Talbot, Wales, Kelsey then moved to Aberystwyth to attend the University of Wales from 2009 to 2012. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Kelsey decided to move to Aberystwyth to study because of the campus’ location by the sea.
Kelsey then attended Cardiff University from 2012 to 2013, achieving a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism.

In March 2020, Kelsey started experiencing COVID19 symptoms and was sent home from work, where she spent two weeks quite ill. She spent two weeks in isolation and took 14 days for a full recovery. Although she was self-isolating, Redmore credits her parents and her boyfriend with helping her get through the experience by leaving her flowers and cards on her doorstep. She was not tested for the disease and did not require hospitalisation despite the gruelling symptoms.
Kelsey currently lives in Cardiff, Wales, but frequently visits her family in Port Talbot.
