Danny Sebastian is an antiques expert and television personality from Northamptonshire. Eccentric and unique, he has a style of his own and is not concerned with following trends but rather, setting them.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Sebastian was born and raised in Northampton, United Kingdom. His parents were immigrants from the Dominican Republic.
- When he was just 15 years old, Danny’s father was killed in a fire. He has spoken publicly about how losing his father at such a young age tormented him for years. In the 1980s, the tough times escalated & led Danny to a 4-year stint in jail for violence and robbery.
- Danny is in a long-term relationship with a woman named Joanne. They live in Wellingborough with their three daughters.

Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- When he was growing up in Northampton, Danny began collecting several obscure items that nobody else wanted. He would also travel with his mother to various auction houses, and that is where he fell in love with antiquing.
- After completing his prison sentence, Danny began to work in multiple warehouses and was able to save up enough money to buy himself a van. After buying the van, he was able to start purchasing and legally reselling various items.
- Through years of research, he has become quite knowledgeable about vintage and antique items. He is especially fond of buying and selling antique furniture from the 20th century.
- In addition to selling antiques, Danny is also a notable television personality and has appeared on Del Boys and Dealers and Dealing with Dickinson on BBC and BBC1 respectively.
- Currently, Danny appears regularly on the hit BBC series, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is in addition to offering his expertise on hit BBC1 shows such as Street Auction and Bargain Hunt.
- He also works with private clients, buying antique items on their behalf and works with designer brands that include All Saints, Tommy Hilfiger and Fat Face.
Interests and Trivia :
- When he is not working with clients or making one of his many TV appearances, Danny enjoys travelling around England with his Afrojunk Van. He especially enjoys visiting antique fairs, car boot sales and auctions.
- Written on his van is the slogan, “Specialists in the nicer things in life.”
- Danny once stated in an interview that if he were not working as an antique trader, he would have loved to fulfil his dream of creating a special charity to take the underprivileged and outcast members of the UK society and to help them create new, better lives in several Caribbean islands.
- His guilty pleasure is quality shoes. Sebastian loves the fact that a good pair of shoes makes his huge feet appear much smaller in size.
- When he has free time away from his antique work, television appearance, and work-related travels, Danny enjoys fine dining, walking his dog, and dancing.
- He considers Silverwoods auction house to be the best place where he can find good quality antiques at a bargain.

Danny is quite the character. Obviously he does better in his own dealings, since the people the Bargain Hunt contestants buy from, are selling retail. Keep on going Danny. You are a bright light on the show. (I am from Australia)
Danny hardly ever makes a profit. Not very knowledgeable about antiques.
When I am bored or low I watch Danny. When he is on the tele he makes my day. He is so much fun…I would love to meet him for a fine dinner.

Danny Sebastian is obviously a larger-than-life character. I LOVE his outgoing personality. His enthusiasm for his work is infectious (in a good way).
My wife and I can’t stand Danny. Especially the way he always has his hands over BH contestants. Despite what I’ve read, he never seems to come out with specific helpful details about the contestant’s choices. We feel it’s luck when any profit is made.
