  • The timing of the tweet incensed the public & Kobe’s fans. The tweets were deleted after apparently “10,000 people” had commented and emailed Sonmez with abuse and death threats.
  • Following the incident, Felicia was suspended. Her employer, The Washington Post said that the tweets from her “displayed poor judgment” & “undermined the work of her colleagues.”
